Medical apparel company expands Pok\u00e9mon line and addresses a complaint from fans about the original design<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Visiting a doctor\u2019s office can be a stressful experience. Nobody wakes up in the morning and says \u201cWow, I feel great! Better get to a hospital ASAP,\u201d so if you find yourself in one, odds are you\u2019re either dealing with some sort of injury or ailment, or at least need to get examined because there\u2019s a chance you might have one.<\/p>\n It\u2019s for that reason that medical professionals\u2019 attire needs to be not only functional and resilient enough so that they can perform their duties, but also visually designed to help soothe patients\u2019 potentially frazzled nerves. And what, asks Japanese medical apparel company Classico, could be more comforting than the presence of Pok\u00e9mon?<\/strong><\/p>\n Classico\u2019s newest doctor\u2019s coat design features no fewer than four Pok\u00e9mon, all so iconic that fans will be able to easily identify them by silhouette alone<\/strong>. On the left sleeve, near the cuff, is Pikachu<\/strong>, and strolling across the front left pocket are original starter trio Squirtle<\/strong>, Bulbasaur<\/strong>, and Charmander<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In addition, the coat\u2019s buttons are styled like Pok\u00e9 Balls<\/strong>, and the Pocket Monster capture devices grace the lining fabric too.<\/p>\n Classico has teamed up with Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> before this, designing sets of Pikachu and Gen-1 starter scrubs<\/strong>. As of this month, they\u2019re joined by Eevee<\/strong> and Snorlax<\/strong>, with the newcomers\u2019 fabric matching the image colors of their respective Pocket Monsters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The scrub bottoms have also been redesigned following feedback from customers<\/strong>. While they loved the Pok\u00e9mon embroidery itself, they didn\u2019t like that it used to be on the pants\u2019 backsides, so that if you sat down, you were sitting on the poor Pok\u00e9mon\u2019s faces. So to alleviate that sense of guilt, Classico has now moved the embroidery to the front, near the right hip.<\/p>\n Both the doctor\u2019s coat and scrubs are unisex designs, available in sizes from extra-extra-small to extra-large. As professional-use items, they\u2019re priced higher than a Uniqlo Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> T-shirt<\/a>, with the separately sold scrub top and pants each 11,990 yen (US$81) and the coat 32,890 yen. All of them can be ordered through the Classico online store (scrub top here<\/a>, pants here<\/a>, and coat here<\/a>) by anyone, though.
