{"id":1845,"date":"2025-08-24T18:00:31","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T01:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/catbradley.io\/?p=1845"},"modified":"2025-08-24T18:00:31","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T01:00:31","slug":"kyotos-new-kuromi-train-is-latest-part-of-sanrio-stars-plan-to-kuromify-the-world%e3%80%90pics%e3%80%91","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/catbradley.io\/?p=1845","title":{"rendered":"Kyoto\u2019s new Kuromi train is latest part of Sanrio star\u2019s plan to Kuromify the world\u3010Pics\u3011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-710493\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/KT-1-1.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"452\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Kuromi and the Seven Princesses of Tango want to take you deeper into Kyoto Prefecture than just Kyoto City<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kuromi<\/strong> may have a skull mark on her cap, but the <strong>Sanrio<\/strong> bunny makes no bones whatsoever about her ambition to \u201cKuromify the world.\u201d We took a look at part of that plan earlier this summer, when Kuromi <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2025\/08\/13\/sanrios-kuromi-kuromifies-high-tea-with-kuromi-afternoon-tea-party-in-japan%E3%80%90photos%E3%80%91\/\">took over afternoon tea service at a fancy hotel in Japan\u2019s northeastern Tohoku region<\/a>, and <strong>now she\u2019s got her sights set on Kyoto Prefecture\u2019s trains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-710494\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/KT-2-1.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"145\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t a unilateral decision on Kuromi\u2019s part, though, as she\u2019s headed to Kyoto as part of a partnership with Willer Trains, operator of the<strong> Kyoto Tango Railway<\/strong> network, which primarily services the northern and coastal parts of Kyoto Prefecture. You may have noticed that Kuromi is looking particularly elegant in the wrapping artwork for the Kuromi Tango Shichihime Train, as<strong> her kimono fashions are inspired by the Tango Shichihime, or \u201cSeven Princesses of Tango,\u201d<\/strong> a group of seven historical noblewomen, poets, and mythical figures said to hail from Tango, the classical name for the Kyoto region.<\/p>\n<p>\u25bc As a nod to not just fans of Kuromi, history, and literature, but also to rail enthusiasts. Kuromi\u2019s kimono feature the colors of train carriages that have run along the Kyoto Tango Railway rails over the past 10 years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-710495\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/KT-3-1.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Kuromi train will run along the <strong>Miyamai and Miyatoyo Lines<\/strong>, which are actually the names for the two connected halves of the <strong>Miyazu Line<\/strong>, which links Nishi Maizueu and Toyooka Stations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-710496\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/KT-4-1.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"353\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the team-up, Kyoto Tango Railway will be offering one-day all-you-can-ride passes that come with a special Kuromi Seven Princesses of Tango ticket case.
