The first clue is the detailed pixel-art aesthetic, evoking memories of a pre-polygon era of video games, but not so far back as to be taking inspiration from the earliest days of the medium. But the more telling clue? Well, they say that one mark of good character design is when you can recognize who the character is from their silhouette alone, and that silhouette clearly belongs to <strong>Guile<\/strong>, from the <strong>Street Fighter<\/strong> franchise.<\/p>\n<p>\u25bc You might think Guile\u2019s hair is the most \u201ccould only work in a video game\u201d thing about him, but <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2023\/10\/31\/does-guiles-street-fighter-video-game-crouching-block-work-in-real-life%E3%80%90experiment%E3%80%91\/\">that distinction actually goes to his crouching block, as we painfully found out<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-714988\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/10\/ms-2.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And it doesn\u2019t look like Guile is the only one getting set for a round at the Golden Arches, as the McDonald\u2019s Japan Twitter account then posted<strong> another teaser featuring even more members of the <em>Street Fighter<\/em> cast, along with the name of series developer Capcom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-lang=\"en\" data-dnt=\"true\" data-partner=\"jetpack\">\n<p lang=\"ja\" dir=\"ltr\">\u660e\u65e5\u767a\u8868\u3001\u3084\u3064\u3089\u304c\u4f1a\u3044\u306b\u304f\u308b\u3002 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cT0kcD69zL\">pic.twitter.com\/cT0kcD69zL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 \u30de\u30af\u30c9\u30ca\u30eb\u30c9 (@McDonaldsJapan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/McDonaldsJapan\/status\/1978377809975300380?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 15, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The <em>Street Fighter<\/em> franchise spans nearly 40 years, with six mainline numbered entries and dozens of spinoffs and semi-sequels. For this collaboration with McDonald\u2019s Japan, though, the focus looks to be on <strong>Street Fighter II<\/strong>, as the silhouettes in the tweets are all exact matches to poses the characters strike in its entries (though the second tweet\u2019s use of the original 12 <em>Street Fighter II<\/em> characters suggests that the new challengers added for <em>Super Street Fighter II<\/em> and <em>Super Street Fighter II Turbo<\/em> won\u2019t be part of the festivities). The second tweet also includes the message <strong>\u201cThey are coming to meet you,\u201d<\/strong> a play on <em>Street Fighter II\u2019s<\/em> tagline in Japan, \u201cI\u2019m off to go meet someone stronger than myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As to what exactly the team-up is going to entail, a <em>Street Fighter<\/em>\u00a0Happy Meal would seem like the most obvious choice, but McDonald\u2019s Japan has been <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2025\/08\/21\/one-piece-happy-meals-indefinitely-postponed-as-mcdonalds-japan-battles-scalpers\/\">running into some problems with its high-profile Happy Meal collaborations as of late<\/a>, so we might be getting special Street Fighter sandwiches <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2024\/01\/11\/godzilla-burgers-appear-at-mcdonalds-japan-and-ts-time-to-eat-them-all%E3%80%90taste-test%E3%80%91\/\">like McDonald\u2019s made for Godzilla<\/a>, or they could be releasing sold-separately merch like the <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2024\/12\/20\/evangelion-and-mcdonalds-japan-launch-first-ever-collaboration-with-transforming-figures%E3%80%90video%E3%80%91\/\">McDonald\u2019s Evangelions<\/a>.
