Even the dessert\u2019s name, meaning \u201cpick me up\u201d in Italian, is a reference to the energizing caffeine kick that comes from some strong java.<\/p>\n<p>So if tiramisu is going to have the flavor of a cup of coffee, why not the appearance too? The obvious answer to that is \u201cBecause it would be really hard to make a cake look like a coffee cup,\u201d but apparently it\u2019s not beyond the talents of <strong>Tokyo sweets shop Kissaten ni Koi Shite<\/strong>, which has created this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-717018\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/11\/tc-2.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"443\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Called the <strong>Kisa Tiramisu<\/strong> (<em>kissa<\/em> being a Japanese word for \u201ccoffee shop\u201d or \u201ccafe\u201d), <strong>what looks like a mug is actually a carefully crafted mousse made with mascarpone cheese sourced from Hokkaido<\/strong>, Japan\u2019s top dairy-producing prefecture. Poured into the divot at the top is a <strong>Brazilian coffee sauce<\/strong> with a gentle bitterness, and beneath that is a <strong>coffee syrup-soaked sponge cake with bits of crisp chocolate<\/strong> mixed in, and the whole thing sits atop a disc of <strong>crumble pie crust-style chocolate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-717019\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/11\/tc-3.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"443\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Kissa Tiramisu is sold in packs of two for 1,620 yen (US$10.80), so while it\u2019s not an exorbitant luxury, it\u2019s still meant as a special occasion kind of dessert. As a matter of fact, it can\u2019t be an everyday indulgence, as <strong>it\u2019s only sold on three days of the week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday<\/strong>, with the first batch of each day becoming available at around 11 in the morning and the second at 3 in the afternoon. Quantities are limited too, with each batch being a total of 30 boxes.<\/p>\n<p>\u25bc The cakes are sold frozen, and take three to four hours to defrost in the refrigerator.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-717020\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/11\/tc-4.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"443\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kissaten ni Koi Shite has only one location, and it\u2019s located on basement level 1 of<strong> Tokyo Station\u2019s Gransta Tokyo section<\/strong>, near the Marunouchi Chika Chuo gate.
