So with the Pok\u00e9mon<\/strong> franchise getting set to open<\/a> its first permanent theme park area, Pok\u00e9park Kanto<\/strong>, next month, of course it\u2019s going to need a Pok\u00e9mon popcorn bucket<\/strong> too.<\/p>\n Ah, but which species of Pocket Monster is the best choice for this important role? Since Pok\u00e9park Kanto is focusing on the Kanto region\/Gen-1 Pok\u00e9mon, you won\u2019t find a candidate with a stronger love to munch on tasty treats than Snorlax<\/strong>, so he\u2019s the muse for the park\u2019s popcorn bucket.<\/p>\n In addition to appearing in illustrated artwork on the bucket\u2019s side, Snorlax is rendered three-dimensionally on the lid, recreating his unforgettable first appearance as an adorable, and immobile, sleeping roadblock. As Pok\u00e9mon Masters will remember, the only way to wake Snorlax up and get him out of the way was by playing a Pok\u00e9 Flute<\/strong>, one of which can also be seen in the preview photo, though it\u2019s not clear if it comes included with the bucket or is just a prop they added when snapping the picture.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re wondering whether Snorlax is more of a sweet or savory kind of snack fan, the answer, apparently, is both<\/strong>, as the official Pok\u00e9park Kanto website describes the item as the Snorlax \u201cPopcorn Box Set (Barbeque Flavor + Milk Caramel Flavor).\u201d<\/strong> It\u2019s not entirely clear whether that means you choose one flavor or if the set comes with both of them, but given Snorlax\u2019s legendary appetite, it\u2019s not like a huge quantity of popcorn would be going against canon.<\/p>\n If you want something less bulky, but also with a dash of Pok\u00e9-fun, the barbecue and milk caramel popcorn flavors will be available in Snorlax-themed paper containers<\/strong> too.<\/p>\n Pok\u00e9park Kanto, which is part of the larger Yomiuriland amusement park in Tokyo, itself consists of two sections, the Pok\u00e9mon Forest and Sedge Town.
