Iran then responded with missile attacks of its own on a number of countries within the Middle East, creating chaos in a part of the world not exactly known for stability in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>With many American citizens calling for their government to explain its specific objectives for the military operation and to provide some sort of timeline for its conclusion,<strong> the official White House Twitter account instead on March 6 posted a video along with the message \u201cJustice the American way\u201d<\/strong> and an emoji of the American flag and a burning fire. The video consists of a series of war\/fight scenes from a number of movies interspersed with footage of airstrike targets being struck. While most of the movie clips are from mainstream blockbusters, including <em>The Avengers<\/em>, <em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em>, <em>John Wick<\/em>, and <em>The Transformers<\/em>, the very last clip isn\u2019t from a Hollywood hit, but from the <strong>Yu-Gi-Oh<\/strong> anime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Wednesday, the official Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh anime Twitter account addressed the use of the clip in a post of its own<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-lang=\"en\" data-dnt=\"true\" data-partner=\"jetpack\">\n<p lang=\"ja\" dir=\"ltr\">\u7c73\u56fd\u30db\u30ef\u30a4\u30c8\u30cf\u30a6\u30b9\u306e\u516c\u5f0fX\u30a2\u30ab\u30a6\u30f3\u30c8\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3001<br \/>\u30a2\u30cb\u30e1\u300c\u904a\u2606\u622f\u2606\u738b\u300d\u30b7\u30ea\u30fc\u30ba\u306e\u6620\u50cf\u304c\u3001\u6a29\u5229\u8005\u306e\u8a31\u8afe\u306a\u304f\u4f7f\u7528\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u6295\u7a3f\u304c\u78ba\u8a8d\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\u672c\u4ef6\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u3001\u539f\u4f5c\u304a\u3088\u3073\u30a2\u30cb\u30e1\u95a2\u4fc2\u8005\u306f\u4e00\u5207\u95a2\u4e0e\u3057\u3066\u304a\u3089\u305a\u3001\u5f53\u8a72\u77e5\u7684\u8ca1\u7523\u306e\u4f7f\u7528\u3092\u8a31\u8afe\u3057\u305f\u4e8b\u5b9f\u3082\u3054\u3056\u3044\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n<p>It has come to our attention that\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 \u30a2\u30cb\u30e1\u300c\u904a\u2606\u622f\u2606\u738b\u300d\u516c\u5f0f (@yugioh_anime) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yugioh_anime\/status\/2031535577913254032?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 11, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cIt has come to our attention that a post on the White House\u2019s official X account used footage from the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh!,\u201d<\/strong> says the English portion of the bilingual Japanese\/English tweet. <strong>\u201cThis was made without any authorization from the rights holder. Regarding this matter, no one associated with the manga or anime had any involvement, and no permission was granted for the use of this intellectual property.\u201d<\/strong> The tweet\u2019s Japanese statement is almost identical, but gets to the crux of the matter even more quickly, <strong>with an additional mention that \u201cvideo of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime series was used without permission from the rights holders\u201d in the very first sentence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Since the White House\u2019s post, a number of actors from the works from which the clips were taken have spoken out against their use, including <strong>Dan Green<\/strong>, Yugi\u2019s English dub actor, whose voice can be heard in the White House\u2019s post.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-lang=\"en\" data-dnt=\"true\" data-partner=\"jetpack\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It came to my attention that the White House used my voice to encourage violence in Iran. Doing so tacitly implicates  Kazuki Takahashi\u2019s most beloved contribution, which continues to inspire people to become who they are, and this was presented in a way far removed from the\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dan_Green (@DanGreenVoices) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DanGreenVoices\/status\/2030093179433660554?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 7, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The fact that the post came from the Japanese <em>Yu-Gi-Oh<\/em> account, and the statement made in Japanese as well, shows that the rights holders are concerned not with just how the White House\u2019s use of the clip could affect perceptions of the franchise overseas, but also in its country of origin.<\/p>\n<p>As with other times the current U.S. administration has <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2025\/09\/25\/three-ways-the-unauthorized-u-s-department-of-homeland-security-pokemon-video-makes-no-sense\/\">incorporated pop culture in its messaging<\/a>, there\u2019s likely little legal action that the <em>Yu-Gi-Oh<\/em> rights holders can take, leaving publicly and strongly saying that they don\u2019t endorse the White House\u2019s post and was not involved in its creation as apparently their only viable option at the moment.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/yugioh_anime\/status\/2031535577913254032\">Twitter\/@ yugioh_anime<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WhiteHouse\/status\/2029741548791853331\">Twitter\/@White House<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/war-not-movie-ben-stiller-200000251.html\">Yahoo!
