\"A<\/p>\n

\u201cWind carries away destinies,\u201d reads the brief synopsis for a short film titled \u201cJour de Vent<\/a>,\u201d or \u201cWindy Day.\u201d The sweeping animation was created in 2024 by a team of six graduates\u2014Martin Chailloux, Ai Kim Crespin, \u00c9lise Golfouse, Chlo\u00e9 Lab, Hugo Taillez, Camille Truding\u2014from \u00c9cole des Nouvelle Images<\/a> school in Avignon, France.<\/p>\n

A cast of characters\u2014including a businessman, a picnicking family, a young couple, a cyclist, an old man and his dog, and a guitarist\u2014spend a seemingly average day at the park. When a powerful gust wind blows everyone\u2019s day out of proportion, themes of change, acceptance, and connection emerge.<\/p>\n

Much like the film\u2019s surrender to the flow of life, the team embraced natural evolvement through the production process itself. \u201cInterestingly enough, the story kept changing until the last day,\u201d the graduates share in an interview<\/a> with Animation Magazine. \u201cThe final shot was decided only three days before the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJour de Vent\u201d has won a multitude of awards, including Jury\u2019s Choice Award at the 2025 SIGGRAPH Festival and Best International Short Film at Quickdraw Animation Society, among many more. Watch it now on Vimeo<\/a>.<\/p>\n
