That\u2019s certainly the case at <strong>Dogo Onsen<\/strong> in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, where you\u2019ll find a beautiful bathhouse building with over a thousand years of history.<\/p>\n<p>Dogo Onsen\u2019s Main Building was constructed in 1894 and is one of the most iconic in Japan, even serving as a model for the Aburaya bathhouse in Studio Ghibli\u2019s animated feature film <strong>Spirited Away<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-730628\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"946\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most Lawsons around Japan display bright neon signs in the chain\u2019s distinctive blue-and-white colours, but this location features an unusual brick facade and simple white signage.<\/p>\n<p>\u25bc Above the entrance you\u2019ll find another unique quirk \u2013 the word \u201c\u30ed\u30fc\u30bd\u30f3\u201d (\u201cLawson\u201d) on a black-and-white sign.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-730627\" Japan where you\u2019ll find <strong>mikan juice on tap<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u25bc The sign promoting the in-store mikan juice tap reads \u201c\u65e5\u672c\u5168\u56fd\u30ed\u30fc\u30bd\u30f3\u3067\u30b3\u30b3\u3060\u3051\u201d (\u201cOut of all the Lawsons in the country, only here\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-730635\" outside the prefecture.
