One of them, of course, is to put smiles on the faces of fans by installing adorable and artistic <strong>Pok\u00e9mon-themed manhole covers<\/strong> in Japanese cities, but the second purpose of the Pok\u00e9futa is to <strong>help revitalize communities<\/strong> by encouraging people to visit and support local businesses while they\u2019re on their real-world Pok\u00e9mon search.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why the newest batch of Pok\u00e9futa is set to be installed this week on the <strong>Noto Peninsula<\/strong> of <strong>Ishikawa Prefecture<\/strong>. This beautiful section of the northern coast of Japan\u2019s main island of Honshu was <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/tag\/noto-earthquake\/\">hit by a powerful earthquake in the early hours of New Year\u2019s Day on 2024<\/a>. As is often the case in disaster-stricken rural areas, clearing away wreckage and rebuilding infrastructure was not a quick or simple endeavor, but <strong>Noto is ready to receive travelers again, and there are now six new reasons to visit in the form of half a dozen new Pok\u00e9futa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-731406\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/pf-2.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Each cover has a unique design and is located in a different town on the peninsula. Starting off, we\u2019ve got the above scene of <strong>Snorlax<\/strong>, <strong>Plusle<\/strong>, and <strong>Minun<\/strong> on the Pok\u00e9futa at<strong> Anamizu Station<\/strong> in the town of <strong>Anamizu<\/strong>, which is loved by locals for its cherry blossoms.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-731407\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/pf-3.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Eevee evolution <strong>Sylveon<\/strong> and a pair of <strong>Luvdiscs<\/strong> are waiting at<strong> Mitsuke Beach<\/strong> in <strong>Suzu<\/strong>, where the rocky Mitsuke Island is a symbol of the town and crab, oysters, and Noto kuroge wagyu beef delight foodies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-731408\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/pf-4.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of evolutions, after working his way up from Magikarp status, <strong>Gyarados<\/strong> has earned a little rest and relaxation at<strong> Yuttari Park<\/strong>, in <strong>Nanao<\/strong>, a town known for tis hot springs, where <strong>Politoed<\/strong> and <strong>Poliwag<\/strong> are also enjoying the water.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-731409\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/pf-5.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Greninja<\/strong> poses dramatically, and <strong>Darumaka<\/strong> somewhat less so, on their Pok\u00e9futa at the <strong>Furattohomu<\/strong> roadside station souvenir shop in <strong>Wajima<\/strong>, where lacquerware from local artisans are among the items on offer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-731410\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/pf-6.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Noto<\/strong> is also the name of a town on the Noto Peninsula, and it\u2019s getting a Pok\u00e9futa with <strong>Roselia<\/strong>, <strong>Minior<\/strong>, and <strong>Lotad<\/strong> inside its <strong>Yanagida Botanical Park<\/strong>, where cherry blossom season is wrapping up but beautiful azaleas, roses, wisteria, and irises will be coming into bloom in the coming weeks and months.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-731411\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/pf-7.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And finally, <strong>Wattrels<\/strong> soar through the sky and a <strong>Gorebyss<\/strong> frolics in the waves at <strong>Sekaiichi no Bench<\/strong>, \u201cThe World\u2019s Longest Bench,\u201d in the town of <strong>Shika<\/strong> on the west coast of the peninsula.
