But while ocarinas are recurring items in the franchise, there\u2019s another item that\u2019s even more strongly associated with protagonist Link\u2019s adventures: <strong>the Master Sword<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>So it\u2019s good to know there\u2019s a real-world version of that on the way too.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-744835\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/2_863b0b.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As part of a new partnership with Nintendo, American toymaker <strong>Hasbro<\/strong> has unveiled the <strong>Legend of Zelda Electronic Master Sword<\/strong>. Described by Hasbro as a \u201croleplay item,\u201d \u201ccollectible,\u201d and \u201ccosplay accessory,\u201d this replica of the iconic weapon not only looks the part, it sounds it too, being <strong>loaded with more than 15 musical and sound-effect salutes to the Zelda games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-744836\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/3_be2b65.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-744837\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/4_dbcb80.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Flip the switch located in the hilt to power the Master Sword on, for example, and you\u2019ll hear <strong>the triumphantly ascending four-note sequence that\u2019s accompanied the discovery of important treasures and key items<\/strong> since the original <em>Legend of Zelda<\/em> 40 years ago. Motion sensors inside the sword can detect when you pick it up or set it down, and then produce <strong>the sound effect heard when Link equips unequips gear <\/strong>within the games.<\/p>\n<p>The Master Sword also makes <strong>slashing sounds when swung and a clashing noise \u201con gentle impact,\u201d<\/strong> according to Hasbro, so there\u2019s no need to strike with all the strength you would if the fate of Hyrule were actually depending on the power of your blows. <strong>Give the sword five swings in a row, and you\u2019ll unlock even more dramatic multi-attack sound effects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-744838\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/5_4c55ae.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Though the Master Sword\u2019s design has some subtle differences between games, Hasbro says this item is based specifically on how it appeared in <em>Tears of the Kingdom<\/em>, the most recently released mainline entry in the series.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-744839\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/6_c2ea5c.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-744840\" src=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/7_524eb3.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At <strong>69 centimeters (27 inches)<\/strong> in length, Hasbro\u2019s Master Sword isn\u2019t trying to be a 1:1-scale replica, unlike <a href=\"https:\/\/soranews24.com\/2024\/05\/10\/life-size-vibrating-legend-of-zelda-master-sword-for-sale-from-nintendo%E3%80%90photos%E3%80%91\/\">the Master Sword produced by Japanese toymaker Tamashi Nations back in 2024<\/a>, nor does it have the vibrating function that Tamashi Nations\u2019 did. However, Hasbro\u2019s Master Sword is a much more budget-friendly option. Link usually has to pass a test of fortitude before he can claim the Master Sword for himself, and there\u2019s a parallel to that with Hasbro\u2019s version, which is being offered as a preorder item and isn\u2019t slated to ship until the beginning of May.
